The fifth grade students at Guyton Elementary School participated in their annual school Social Studies Fair on Jan. 25.

The annual Social Studies Fair helps promote researching and writing skills essential for future science and social studies competitions throughout the middle and high school years.

This year alone there were more than 90 projects ranging from Steve Irwin to Thomas Jefferson.

Two overall winners were selected to represent Guyton at the countywide competition, which was held on Feb. 8. The two top winners were first place, Bailey Brown and second place, Kate Lanier. A great job goes out to all Guyton Gators.
