The Effingham County Health Department will hold back-to-school immunization clinics July 13 and 27, from 8:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m. each day, at the Effingham County Health Department, 802 Highway 119 in Springfield.

School-aged children are required to get certain immunizations before going back to school. The Effingham County Health Department offers immunizations Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. year-round; however, to make it convenient for parents to get their children immunized, the Health Department will extend clinic hours on July 13 and July 27 until 6:30 p.m.

Parents are urged not to wait until the last minute and are encouraged to take advantage of the upcoming extended-hour immunization clinics.
Appointments are encouraged.

For more information on immunization requirements, eligibility criteria and/or to make an appointment, please call the Health Department at 754-6484.
