SEHS talent show extravaganza

South Effingham High School students in 25 acts gave it their all Feb. 25 at the annual Talent Show Extravaganza.

A portion of the money raised went to the Effingham and Chatham counties’ Humane Societies and to the Georgia chapter of Operation Homefront.

First place went to hip-hip dancing duo Jordan Bala and A.C. Cordy (aka Jiggy J and Ace), who won $200. Second place went to the instrumental classical guitar stylings of Ethan Rahn, winning $150. Coming in third place and taking home $100 was the teen heartthrob rock bank, Anti Grant Band, singing Hinder’s “Lips of an Angel.” The band is made up of Michael Brannen, Micah Christensen, Garrett Johnson and Seth Karminsky.

Other award winners were:
Best musical ensemble –Radiance, featuring Hillary Marks, Garrett Johnson, Ryan Taylor, Chris Barber and Zach Pilz;
Most Creative – Jade Jackson, spoken word;
Most Entertaining – KiDd N’Kredible (Josh Winston), original rap;
Audience Choice – Cardiophobia featuring Josh Anderson, Samuel Diedrich, Joey Newman, Michael Brannen, and Seth Kaminsky;
Most Unique – Joseph and Ryan Farmer, original guitar and violin composition
Best Musical Solo Act – Brittany Henson, original song, vocals and piano.
