Wednesday at schools all around the world, students gathered together at their school flag poles before school to read scripture, sing and pray together.

Effingham County was no exception. Over 575 participated locally.

At our five area middle and high schools where over 350 took part, the events were 100 percent student led. Some brought guitars to lead in music. Others brought Bibles to share from scripture. And all came to pray for their classmates, teachers and schools.

Parents helped lead the times of prayer at the elementary schools.

This year’s theme was taken from 1 Samuel 3:10 where it says “Speak, for your servant is listening.”
