South Effingham High School FBLA President Emilia Truluck placed eighth in Word Processing I at the FBLA National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, Calif. which was held June 23-28.  Emilia competed against competitors from all states, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, and the Department of Defense European Schools.

Emilia placed first at the Georgia FBLA Region 3 Leadership Conference last February and placed second at the Georgia FBLA State Leadership Conference in March. Her second place victory at the state conference qualified her for national competition. To qualify for national competition, a competitor must place in the top three at the state level.

Emilia was accompanied to Anaheim by her parents,  Ricky and Becky Truluck and her FBLA adviser, Mrs. Martha Ross.
