Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Burns of Clyo announce the engagement of their daughter, Brooke Avis Burns, to Travis Howard Graham. The groom-elect is the son of Jane Lee of Springfield and Ralph Graham also of Springfield.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late B.G. and Dorothy Standard of Springfield and D.G. Burns and the late Avis Burns of Newington. She is a 1999 graduate of Effingham County High School and a 2003 graduate of Georgia Southern University. She received a Bachelor of Business Administration and is now the owner of Burns Insurance Associates.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Howard and Doris Wilson of Springfield and the late Abner and Jewell Graham of Springfield. He is a 1993 graduate of Effingham County High School and is now the co-owner of Ralph Graham Land Clearing, Inc.

The wedding is planned for May 14, 2011, at 4:30 in the afternoon. The ceremony will be held at the First Baptist Church of Springfield. All family and friends are invited to share the special day. No local invitations will be sent.
