Donald Theodore and Janet Kennedy Caines of Rincon, announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Grace, to Brian David Pearl of Richmond Hill, son of David Alan and Mary Kay Pearl of Richmond Hill.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Oliver Kenneth and Dorothy Wolf Caines of Garden City, and Mary Louise and the late James Edward Kennedy of Garden City. She attends Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah and is planning to graduate in May 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in nursing.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Richard Francis and Gertrude Hayes Munsterteiger of Buffalo, Minn., and Kenneth Walter and Joan Fielding Pearl of Savannah. He attends Georgia Institute of Technology and is planning to graduate in May 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in international affairs.

A wedding is planned for August 2009 in Rincon.
