Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Lanier Carter Jr. of Snellville are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Amanda Erin Carter to Brian McKinley Andrews, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Arnold Andrews of Rincon.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Freddie Osborne Freeman of Covington and Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Lanier Carter Sr. of Decatur.

Miss Carter is a graduate of South Gwinnett High School and the University of Georgia, where she received a BS and MEd in Early Childhood Education. Miss Carter is a teacher at Carver Elementary School in Richmond Hill and employed by the Bryan County Board of Education.

The groom-to-be is the grandson of Ms. Elizabeth Hendrix Stephens of Garden City, Mrs. Angie Louise Andrews and the late John David Andrews Sr. of Rincon and Mr. and Mrs. Byron Anthony Stephens Sr. of Savannah.

Mr. Andrews is a graduate of South Effingham High School and attends Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.  Mr. Andrews is a Manufacturing Engineer and is employed by Gulfstream Aerospace in Savannah.

The wedding is planned for Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011, at The River Club in Okatie, S.C.
