Mr. and Mrs. James Hand are proud to announce the upcoming marriage of their daughter, April Brooke Hand of Rincon, to Brandon Carter of Rincon, son of Ms. Kimberly Carter of Port Wentworth.

The bride elect is the maternal granddaughter of Mr. Willard K. Stevens and the late Martie Stevens of Hazlehurst. She is the paternal granddaughter of Mrs. Shirley Ricketson and the late Marlo Hand Jr. of Hazlehurst. She is a 2006 graduate of Armstrong Atlantic State University and is currently employed as a dental hygienist.

The groom elect is the maternal grandson of Mrs. Joanne Carter and the late JH “Buddy” Carter of Rincon. He attended Effingham County High School and is employed as a service technician and sales representative for Gochnauer Heating and Air in Hilton Head, S.C.

The couple will be married April 19 at Richmond Hill United Methodist Church at 5:30 p.m. A reception will be held at the Bamboo Farms immediately following the ceremony.
