Mr. and Mrs. Leon Phillips and Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Haynes are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Christin Rebecca Haynes, to Kelly Clark Starling, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Starling of Guyton.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Fletcher and Joyce Folds of Gray and also Ronald and Linda Haynes of Gray. She is a 2002 honor graduate of Jones County High School and a 2007 graduate of Valdosta State University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She is currently employed as a counselor at Georgia Military College.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Elwin and Jenean Barr of Guyton, and Mrs. Barbara Starling and the late Aubrey Starling of Pembroke. He is a 2001 graduate of Effingham County High School and attended Georgia College and State University. He is employed as a probation officer for Baldwin County.

The wedding is planned for Nov. 7, 2009, at Standing Rocks Farm in Haddock.

Mr. and Mrs. Dale Mixon of Guyton announce the upcoming marriage of their daughter, Amy Cierra Mixon, to Landon Harry Snooks, son of Steven and Harriett Snooks of Springfield. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Hill, Sr. of Eatonton, Ga., and the great-granddaughter of James Harmon Sr. of Fort Valley, Ga. Cierra is a 2012 graduate of South Effingham High School and a 2017 graduate of Armstrong State University with a bachelor of science in Radiologic Science with a focus in cardiovascular science. Cierra is employed at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro.
