Mr. and Mrs. Norman Turner of Springfield are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Audrey Jane Turner, to James Anthony Breda, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Breda Sr. of Houston, Texas.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. Charles Harper and the late Mrs. Margaret Harper of Charlottesville, Va., and Mrs. Mary Z. Turner and the late Mr. TJ Turner of Springfield.

Audrey graduated from the University of Georgia in 2008 with a Bachelors of Arts in Gender Studies and History. She is employed by Houston ISD as a middle school science teacher.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Ashley Baker Sr. of Natchitoches, La., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Thoephile Scott Breda of Natchitoches, La.

James graduated from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, La., in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He is employed by Aldine ISD as a high school math teacher.

A private ceremony is planned for July 5, in Gatlinburg, Tenn. On Saturday, July 14, the couple will have a drop-in reception open to all family and friends from 2-4 pm at Springfield United Methodist Church, 210

Mr. and Mrs. Dale Mixon of Guyton announce the upcoming marriage of their daughter, Amy Cierra Mixon, to Landon Harry Snooks, son of Steven and Harriett Snooks of Springfield. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Hill, Sr. of Eatonton, Ga., and the great-granddaughter of James Harmon Sr. of Fort Valley, Ga. Cierra is a 2012 graduate of South Effingham High School and a 2017 graduate of Armstrong State University with a bachelor of science in Radiologic Science with a focus in cardiovascular science. Cierra is employed at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro.
