Mr. and Mrs. Terry Williams of Odum announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Kala Williams of Odum, to Raymond Joseph Lacross of Rincon, son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Edenfield of Rincon and Arthur Lacross of Augusta.

The bride-elect’s maternal grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Mason Herrin of Manor. Her paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Willie Williams of Jesup. She is a 2003 graduate of Wayne County High School and a 2009 graduate of Georgia Southern University with a bachelor’s of science degree in early childhood education. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in counselor education with an emphasis on school counseling through Georgia Southern University. She is employed by the Wayne County Board of Education as a third grade teacher at Odum Elementary School.

The bridegroom-elect’s maternal parents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward V. Macatee of Augusta. His paternal grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Raymond A. Lacross of Augusta. He is a 2003 graduate of South Effingham High School and a 2009 graduate of Georgia Southern University with a bachelor’s of science degree in mechanical engineering technology. He is employed by the Tomberlin Group in Augusta as a mechanical engineer.

The ceremony is scheduled for June 12, 2010, at 6 p.m. at the Jekyll Island Club Hotel on Jekyll Island. Invitations will be issued.
