Dr. and Mrs. Donald Bryce Nelson Jr.

Miss Carrie Ann Algee and Dr. Donald Bryce Nelson Jr. were married Dec. 5, 2009, at the Ritz Carlton Reynolds Plantation in Greensboro. The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Harold Algee of Hot Springs, Ark. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Sam V. Scott and the late Mr. Sam V. Scott of Hot Springs, Ark., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Massey of Little Rock, Ark.

The groom is the son of Dr. Donald Nelson of Springfield and the late Mrs. Louise Nelson. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Perry Seckinger of Springfield and the late Mr. and Mrs. Bryce Nelson of Tuscumbia, Ala. Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose her cousin, Miss Samantha Kay Carnes as her maid of honor.

The groom chose his father, Dr. Donald Nelson as his best man and the groomsman was his brother, Dr. Robert D. Nelson. The bride is a graduate of Lakeside High School in Hot Springs, Ark., the University of Arkansas where she received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Troy State University where she received a masters of science degree in Human Resources Management.

The groom is a graduate of Effingham County High School. He received his bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Medical College of Georgia’s School of Dentistry. His dental practice, Effingham Dental Associates, is in Springfield.

The couple resides in Savannah.
