Effingham GOP to hold meeting March 9

The Effingham County Republican Party will convene precinct mass meetings March 9 at 9 a.m. at the Effingham County administration building to elect delegates and alternate delegates to the Effingham County Republican Party convention.


The county convention will convene March 9 at 10 a.m. at the same location to elect delegates and alternate delegates to the congressional district conventions and the state convention. Additionally, the convention will be adopting the rules of the county Republican Party and electing officers for the 2013-15 term.


All Effingham County residents who are legally registered to vote and believe in the principles of the Republican Party are urged to participate in this process.


The 1st Congressional District Convention and the 12th Congressional District Convention will both convene April 20 at 10 a.m.

 
The 1st Congressional District Convention will be held at Bacon County High School Cafetorium, 901 North Pierce St., in Alma. The 12th District Convention will be held at The Legends Club, 2701 Washington Rd. in Augusta.


The district conventions will be adopting rules for the Congressional District Republican Party and electing officers for the 2013-15 term.  The conventions will elect members of the state committee of the Georgia Republican Party. Delegates and alternates will be required to pay a fee, which is to cover the cost of the convention.


The Georgia Republican Party state convention will convene May 17 at 2 p.m. in Athens and will elect the Georgia Republican Party officers and conduct all other business as necessary. Delegates and alternates will be required to pay a fee, which is to cover the cost of the convention.
