The Ferst Foundation for Childhood Literacy will hold the Go Beyond for Ferst celebration and lowcountry boil on Aug. 13 at the Mill Creek Lodge.

The event begins at 6 p.m. with a social hour and the dinner will be served at 6:45 p.m. There will be live and silent auctions and a raffle, with proceeds to support the Ferst Books program.

The Effingham County Action Team has mailed nearly 69,000 books in five years.
