Manna House food pantry is registering families/ households for Thanksgiving meal box assistance through Nov. 5. Times are Mondays noon-3 p.m. and Thursdays 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Manna House is planning to register 800 families, and there have been lines and a waiting list in previous years. During October, Manna House is challenging businesses, individuals, churches and school groups to host a fall food drive by filling a brown grocery bag, either dropping it off at the Manna House office or contacting Manna House to pick it up.

The fall food drive ends Oct. 31. Items that are always in greatest need include: grains or pasta products, baking mixes, canned meat, cereal, or peanut butter.

Manna House is in a campaign to give away 1 million pounds this year and as of August, Manna House has exceeded 800,000 pounds.
