MLK essay, poster contest winners recognized

The winners of this year's poster and essay contests were honored at Monday's youth program as part of Effingham County's Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Observance.

In addition to the winners pictured at left, recognition included the winners of the poster contest for grades 3-5 (not pictured): first place – Isaiah Scott, South Effingham Elementary; second place – Terrien Nicole Edwards, Springfield Elementary; third place – Kennedy Hope Andrews, Guyton Elementary; honorable mention – Cody Wilson, Marlow Elementary; and special recognition – Bailey Batchelor, Marlow Elementary.
