Rotary Club helps boost middle schools' activities

The Rotary Club of Effingham County recently presented checks to each of the three middle schools in Effingham County as part of its efforts to promote excellence in education in Effingham County schools. The club also acknowledged the outstanding efforts of middle grade educators in Effingham County.

Each school received a check for $300 to support educational programs at the middle school level.

ECMS uses the money to support a Model United Nations competitive team.

EMS uses the money to fund scholarships for the Ebenezer Alive program at the Ebenezer Retreat Center.

SEMS will use the money to support its Science Olympiad competitive teams.
