The Mustang Masquers, South Effingham High School’s drama club, will give a one-night-only performance of their award-winning production of “Running Upstream” on Jan. 24 at SEHS. Tickets are available for $10 for both the spaghetti dinner at 6:30 p.m. and the show at 7 p.m., or $7 for the show only.

The show stars SEHS students Jordon Bala, Ethan McKinnon, Tatiana Velez, Natalie Starling, Josh Anderson and Tabitha Richard. When the Mustang Masquers took this show to the GHSA One-Act Competition, McKinnon and Velez were selected to the all-star cast, Bala was chosen as best actor for the entire day and the show placed second out of the 10 plays competing.

“Running Upstream” is about a young man who enters mainstream high school despite his worries over his physical handicaps. The play tells the story of a young man coming to terms with his handicap and how those around him are affected as well.
