Lisa Woodcock of Citizens Bank of Effingham recently completed graduation requirements for Compliance School, sponsored by the Community Bankers Association of Georgia (CBA). She has been with the bank since its founding in 1998 and currently serves as a compliance officer overseeing deposit controls and various aspects of the Bank Secrecy Act set forth by Congress.

Compliance School, which is offered by the CBA’s Community Bankers University, is a four-day program held in conjunction with Professional Bank Services Inc., a consulting and educational services firm based in Louisville, Ky.

Offered once a year, it provides a unique, broad-based curriculum that includes a session on compliance management and customer information security.

“This program provided Lisa with a unique interactive training environment to ensure we are fulfilling our responsibilities in the area of bank compliance,” said Michael T. Lee, president and CEO of Citizens Bank.

“With all of the compliance issues facing the banking industry these days, it is important for us to fully understand the latest federal lending and deposit laws and regulations. It has definitely enhanced Lisa’s knowledge and awareness of various regulatory guidelines.”
