Kight resigns Hospital Board Chairman position

C. Murray Kight submitted his resignation as chairman of the Board of the Trustees at the Effingham Hospital Authority’s meeting Tuesday. His resignation is effective June 1.

L. Stephen Mobley was selected by his fellow board members to succeed Kight.

Kight requested that he be allowed to continue to serve on the hospital authority as a regular member. The board accepted both Kight’s resignation and his continued service as a regular member of the authority.

Other action by the board was the re-establishment of the C. Edward Helmey Humanitarian Award which has been inactive.
