Solar energy workshop to be held in Statesboro

Coastal Solar Power Company of Hinesville, in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, is holding a solar energy symposium/workshop June 24 at the Comfort Inn and Suites at 17870 Highway 67 in Statesboro.

The workshop is scheduled to run from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Topics of discussion will include the USDA grant application process, tax and financial benefits, financing and leasing options, battery storage capabilities and other solar energy concerns. Repre-
sentatives from the USDA, Ag South Farm Credit, Ameris Bank, Sonnen Batterie and Coastal Solar Power Company will be present for discussion and questions and answers sessions relating to the use of solar energy in agri-business and other related industries. Light refreshments and soft drinks will be provided.
