Another vote for yes vote

Dear Editor,

“Say no to liquor, Jesus would,” a thought provoking yet amusing church marquee I observed prior to the last liquor referendum vote around these parts. No disrespect to Jesus, but I wonder how the church elite locally would be privy to this information.

As the Feb. 5 referendum vote fast approaches,(voting yes allows drinks by the glass in restaurants only), and as church marquees fill with biblical persuasion and hellfire,(voting no will save our families, hallelujah!), have we decided yet to vote as mere responsible citizens. Voting an imagined moral high ground as churches create lines dividing good from evil is irresponsible and denies rights of choice.

Like choosing good behavior, choosing creative county government without excess taxation, choosing to have a drink, choosing a prospering future. Vote yes.
