The Region 2-AAAAAA champion Effingham County Rebels will host Lakeside in the opening round of the Class AAAAA playoffs Wednesday.

The first two games are likely to start at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m., respectively.

In the other series involving 2-AAAAAA and 3-AAAAAA teams, Richmond Hill will welcome Heritage, Brunswick will visit Greenbrier and Glynn Academy will travel to Coffee.

South Effingham's Mustangs, Region 2-AAAAA's third-seeded team, will travel to 3-AAAAA's McIntosh in the opening round. 

In the other series featuring 2-AAAAA and 3-AAAAA teams, Wayne County will host Fayette County, Statesboro will entertain Whitewater and Ware County will visit Starr's Mill.
