4-H bee club receives donation

The Coastal Empire Bee Association made a $500 contribution to Effingham County 4-H’s bee club.

The donation will go toward bee suits and other items for the club, which meets monthly to teach the importance of honey bees and the values of bee hives.

The bee club is open to 4-H’ers in fourth-sixth grades and currently has about 30 active members.
