The Effingham County High School class of 1989 will be holding its 20th class reunion with a series of events.

A family tailgate party will be held Aug. 28 at 5:30 p.m. prior to the ECHS-Burke County game. The cost is $4 per person. Supper on the practice field will include hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and drinks.

Tim Hood, ECHS athletic director and member of the class of ’89, will let all who attend the tailgate party into the game for free. A section of the bleachers will be reserved for the tailgate party to sit together during the game.

A golf outing will be held Aug. 29 with a cost of $30 per person. RSVPs are requested to scotthendrix@windstream.net as soon as possible with handicap or usual score and any requests to be teamed with someone.

A reunion will be held at the Holiday Inn and Suites in Pooler on Aug. 29. A pre-event social will take place at 6 p.m. with a cash bar. Supper will be served between 7-7:30 p.m. A DJ also will be provided. A block of rooms also has been reserved.
