The second grade students at Effingham Christian School recently spent a day as an Egyptian.

They worked hard building a pyramid, playing Egyptian games, wrapping mummies and making Egyptian clothing.

The students have studied about the early civilization in ancient Egypt beginning with Pharaoh Menes all the way through the fall of Egypt to the Roman Empire.

ECS provides a distinctively classical and Christ centered education and is located at 226 Goshen Rd., Rincon.
