South Effingham Elementary School honors its students each month by choosing a student who excels in academics and a student who demonstrates the ideals of being a good citizen.
The “Scholars” for the month of April for South Effingham Elementary are: first grade, Maggie Poff, Braden Parkhurst, Paul Elliott, Kirsten Geiger and Jackson Lockhart; second grade, Casey Ulmer, Aiden Parr, Clyde Houk, Anthony Beck and Madison Bowen; third grade, Brittany Prokop, Diana Richtman, Megan Jelinski, Kara Fennell, Brianna Lawson and Kenny Scott; fourth grade, Brittany Brown, Austin King, Tyler Lloid and Jarod Cox; fifth grade, Corey Baker, Doug Darling, Mackenzie Parkhurst, Kendal Isber and Chris Barnes.
The “Citizens” for the month are: first grade, Kiera Nesmith, Cody Cummins, Cody Hall, Ethan Cox and Madyson Purdy; second grade, Michele Medina, Zoe Kreyenbuhl, Emma Williams, Jake Sapp and Logan Burnette; third grade, Dyan Wiley, Zoe Vandine, Adam Akins, Johnathan Burnette, Matthew Hagan and Anna Grace Sykes; fourth grade, Timothy Bowles, Shandrea Leverett, Rylee Kirk and Kelly Bryant; fifth grade, Makayla Loggins, Matthew Martin, Mallory Sucher, Amberleigh Driggers and Ian Barton.
