Mr. and Mrs. Michael P. Brannon of Summerville announces the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Jillian LeAnne Brannon, to Taylor Aaron Stratton of Powder Springs. He is the son of Mr. And Mrs. Terry L. Stratton of Lexington, S.C.

The future bride is the sister of Daniel Ryan Brannon of Summerville, and the granddaughter of Mr. And Mrs. Cecil Grigsby of Summerville and Mrs. Norma Brannon of Armuchee. She is also the granddaughter of the late Mr. John P. Brannon Jr. of Summerville.

She is a graduate of LaFayette High School in LaFayette. She received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Georgia in 2006 and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in human resources and organizational development from the University of Georgia. She is a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. She is employed as recruitment coordinator for North Metro Technical College in Acworth. She is a member of First Baptist Church of LaFayette.

The future groom is the brother of Alison Patricia Stratton of Augusta and Candi French of Summerville, S.C. He is the grandson of Mr. Hollie Stratton of Collinsville, Ill. and Ms. Jean Goodlett of Versailles, Ky. He is also the grandson of the late Ms. Kathryn (Pat) DeLoach of Hilton Head and Scotia, S.C. and the late Mr. Arthur J. DeLoach Jr. of Scotia, S.C.

He is a graduate of South Effingham High School. He graduated with honors from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in building construction science. He is a member of Sigma Chi fraternity. He is currently employed as project manager for Art Plumbing Contractors in Atlanta.

The wedding is planned for Saturday, Aug. 25, at Frost Chapel on the Berry College campus in Rome.

Mr. and Mrs. Dale Mixon of Guyton announce the upcoming marriage of their daughter, Amy Cierra Mixon, to Landon Harry Snooks, son of Steven and Harriett Snooks of Springfield. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Hill, Sr. of Eatonton, Ga., and the great-granddaughter of James Harmon Sr. of Fort Valley, Ga. Cierra is a 2012 graduate of South Effingham High School and a 2017 graduate of Armstrong State University with a bachelor of science in Radiologic Science with a focus in cardiovascular science. Cierra is employed at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro.
