Mr. and Mrs. Ric Nettles of Springfield and Roy Coats of Savannah are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Christina Lee Coats, to Joseph William Chiariello, son of Richard Chiariello of Guyton and Gay Chiariello of Rincon.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Kessler of Guyton and Mr. and Mrs. Bryant Coats of Guyton. She will be graduating from Georgia Southern University in May with a degree in early childhood education.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Josephine Chiariello of Pittsburgh, Penn., and the late Henry V. Chiariello and Mrs. and Mrs. William Whatley of Rincon. He is a graduate of Georgia Southern University with a degree in graphic design. He is a graphic designer with MAL-AD Promotions in Statesboro.

The wedding is planned for June 13, 2009, at 6:30 p.m. at Sweetheart Circle on the Georgia Southern campus in Statesboro. A reception will follow at the Russell University Ballroom. Invitations will be sent.
