It’s been a busy first month for the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office traffic unit.
 
Effingham County commissioners approved the unit, which consists of four additional deputies and two new Dodge Charger patrol units. The traffic unit, a long-awaited goal of Effingham Sheriff Jimmy McDuffie, hit the road in November.
