Annual Salzburger Heritage Day to be held Monday

Salzburger Heritage Day Festival will be held Monday at Ebenezer as the town of Ebenezer comes to life.

Events begin at 10 a.m., and a gathering will be held at 11 a.m. in Jerusalem Lutheran Church. Dr. Russell Kleckley will be the featured speaker. Dr. Kleckley, a professor at Augsbury College in Minnesota, has been involved in the translation of letters from Salzburger pastor and leader Johann Martin Boltzius.

Walking tours of Ebenezer, including a tour of a Salzburger home will be held. There also will be a display of posters depicting the agriculture of the early Salzburgers, and there will be living history displays and demonstrations. Food and entertainment will be available throughout the day, and the Salzburger Marketplatz will be open.
