The Springfield Revitalization Corporation’s Mars on Main rummage sale brought in $3,604, said Gussie Nease.
“We had a great, great day,” said Nease. “We are still holding some other stuff, so we’re anticipating a little over $4,000 cleared.”
All proceeds go toward the renovations of the historic Mars Theater that ran from 1946 to about 1957.
Saturday’s sale was held primarily in the back of Springfield City Hall as well as in the real estate building across the street. Items not sold were donated to Goodwill.
