Record amount for Empty Stocking Fund

The Effingham Exchange Club announced it raised a record-setting $24,276 for its annual Empty Stocking Fund campaign.

Reggie Loper and Donnie Rahn of the Exchange Club’s Empty Stocking Fund offered their thanks to all the contributors.

“Because of you, Christmas for others was a little brighter,” they said. “To those faithful individuals, organizations and businesses who have contributed year after year, even in hard economic times, our deep appreciation for your generosity. Thank you to the Department of Family and Children Services director and staff, we appreciate all your help. Thank you to our vendors, Walmart, Kroger and Harvey’s. We wish for you all peace, love and happiness.”
