Shalynda Warren, assistant manager of the Georgia Department of Labor’s Gwinnett Career Center, received an EXCEL Certificate of Leadership Development at the recent graduation ceremony in Peachtree City.

Warren, a Guyton native, graduated from the GDOL’s Executive Commitment to Excellence in Leadership (EXCEL) 2013 class.

EXCEL, a partnership between the GDOL and the University of Georgia’s Carl Vinson Institute of Government in Athens, is designed to develop future leaders for the department. Classes explore the major political, social and economic issues facing the state and nation.
