Washington, D.C. — U.S. Rep John Barrow (D-Savannah) has received the endorsement of the Business-Industry Political Action Committee (BIPAC).  According to Roll Call, Barrow is “the first incumbent the business group has gotten behind this election cycle.”

“In the highly polarized July 15 primary, he is the clear choice when it comes to economic issues,” said Greg Casey, BIPAC’s president and CEO. “Congressman Barrow has demonstrated a willingness to work across party lines to get things done.”

“I’m honored to have BIPAC’s support in this election,” said Barrow. “We’ve got a lot of work to do to get the economy back on track for working families. The investments in our workforce, in our economic growth, and in our infrastructure that BIPAC supports will help get our economy working for the middle class again.”

Barrow faces former state Sen. Regina Thomas (D-Savannah) in the July 15 primary for the Democratic nomination for his 12th District seat.
