Effingham County sheriff’s deputies arrested three people in a drug sweep Friday morning in Bloomingdale.

Rebecca Rogers, 22, of Ellabell, and Michael Dixon, 36, and Jody Callison, 33, both of Bloomingdale were arrested Friday after sheriff officers and the Savannah-Metropolitan Police SWAT team initiated a drug bust at Dixon’s residence.

Complaints of heavy traffic at the home and the cooperation of Gregory Baker and Ronald Braddock, who were arrested last week on drug charges, led authorities to the threesome.

Officers had been told that a large amount of powder and crack cocaine were being sold at Dixon’s residence.

Authorities say a large amount of cocaine, several cars, weapons and motorcycles were confiscated as a result of the bust.

A SWAT team was called in because of the three suspects’ violent backgrounds. According to Effingham Sheriff’s Capt. Mike Bohannon, all three have criminal histories.

Each has been charged with cocaine trafficking, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession with intent to distribute cocaine and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
