State troopers from the Rincon Post of the Georgia State Patrol investigated 16 traffic crashes during the month of May in Effingham County.

Sgt. 1st Class Riner said the traffic crashes resulted in 15 injuries.

Sgt. 1st Class Riner said troopers from Post 42 also issued 325 traffic citations in the county during the month. The total includes 10 arrests for driving under the influence, 141 citations for speeding, 109 seat belt violations and four child restraint violations. Troopers also issued 246 warnings.
