State troopers from the Rincon post of the Georgia State Patrol investigated 15 traffic crashes during the month of April in Effingham County.

Sergeant 1st Class Riner said the traffic crashes resulted in 18 injuries and three traffic deaths. Riner said troopers from Post 42 also issued 151 traffic citations in the county during the month.

The total includes seven arrests for driving under the influence, 90 citations for speeding, 22 seat belt violations and two child restraint violations.

Troopers also issued 155 warnings.
