State troopers from the Rincon post of the Georgia State Patrol investigated 15 traffic crashes during the month of December in Effingham County. Sergeant First Class Riner said the traffic crashes resulted in 12 injuries.

Riner said troopers from Post 42 also issued 306 traffic citations in the county during the month. The total includes six arrests for driving under the influence, 208 citations for speeding, 39 seat belt violations and six child restraint violations. Troopers also issued 280 warnings.
