The Effingham Fall Festival will be held Nov. 22 from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. at the Historic Effingham Society and Living History Site.

The event is a fundraiser for the relocation and restoration of the Zitterour-Seckinger House, a two-story farm house built in the 1830s.

Tours of the museum, the Seckinger-Bridgers House, the Gnann summer house and farm buildings will be held, along with live demonstrations of chair caning, flint napping, cane grinding and syrup making, blacksmith’s shop, woodworking, basket making and women’s handcrafts.

There also will be an encampment and re-enactments of the Sons of Confederate Veterans-Camp Davis. Activities include a white elephant sale, a doll and quilt show and old-time events for children.

Food and baked goods provided by the HES will be for sale. Tommy Hall and his band Pickin’ n Grinnin’ will perform.

Admission to the event is $2 for ages 6 and up.
