This family went along fine for years. Then the breadwinner had a stroke, cannot work any longer, his wife continues her part-time work but it isn’t enough for two young children, a mother and father.
They have had to move and have given up their dreams of moving up when they have had to ask relatives to help.
What will Christmas be like for these small children? What about the burden on the mother and father who struggle to make ends meet and know that food on the table has to be the first priority?
You can help — make a contribution to the Empty Stocking Fund and help this family and others in need at this Christmas season. It’s important to them, it’s important to our community and it’s important to you. A wise person once said, “All you really have is what you have given away.”
Contributions to the Empty Stocking Fund may be deposited in any Citizens Bank or BB&T Bank or mail to 501 S. Laurel St., Springfield GA, 31329.
