Effingham Hospital and Care Center will hold the groundbreaking of its modernization project on Jan. 2, 2011, at 2 p.m., with festivities taking place on the hospital grounds.
Groundbreaking event plans come on the heels of this week’s announcement by the Hospital Authority that the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) provided its final commitment to lend its support for the long-awaited modernization plan.
Hospital officials were able to secure mortgage financing under HUD’s FHA 242 hospital program originated through its HUD-licensed FHA mortgage lender, InnoVative Capital, LLC.
