Norman Munthe of Guyton has been promoted to lieutenant for the Bloomingdale Fire Department.

He is a volunteer and a NPQ firefighter 2 and NPQ fire instructor. He is the officer in charge of training for the Bloomingdale Fire Rescue Explorer Post 124 and the Effingham Fire Rescue Venture Crew 691 training young men and women ages 14 to 20 from four cities and two counties to become firefighters. He works for Gulfstream as a technical specialist.
