The two recently appointed members of the Effingham County Board of Assessors are sworn in by Superior Court Clerk Elizabeth Hursey. The new members are John Kieffer (left) and Neal Kessler, Jr (right). They will take their place on the recently expanded board. County commissioners expanded the board from three members, who have made up the board for years, to five members to give a broader representation of taxpayers by additional members.
