BoC repeals just-passed ethics ordinance

Effingham County commissioners have voted to amend an ethics ordinance adopted a month ago in order to study it further.

Commissioners voted unanimously to amend the ordinance, which was adopted at the Dec. 7 meeting.

“There were some issues with the new ordinance that we thought were conflicting with some of our county ordinances,” said Commissioner Vera Jones.
