Springfield man killed in Wednesday accident

Charges likely won’t be filed in an accident that claimed the life of a Springfield man Wednesday evening.

Around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Ronald Lee Pippin of Springfield was driving his 1994 Volvo near the intersection of Standard Lane and Highway 119 South. His vehicle was struck by a Ford F-250 driven by Roderick Braddy of Tarrytown.

Pippin was killed in the wreck, and witnesses told Georgia State Patrol troopers that Pippin failed to stop at the intersection.
