Springfield to take up signs issues

Springfield City Council members are expected to discuss a long-debated temporary sign ordinance at tonight’s meeting.

Council members approved a garage sale/yard sale ordinance at their last meeting that requires those holding the sale to have written permission of the property owner, if they are holding the sale on property that does not belong to them.

“This is strictly for people on other people’s property or on public property,” City Manager Brett Bennett said.
