The Effingham County Tea Party will be hosting a meeting tonight to discuss the tax system and specifically to provide information about the fair tax.

Speakers for the meeting will be Tom Brown and Jeanne Seaver, both versed in the fair tax issue. They will answer questions and explain the logistics of the fair tax theory.

Effingham’s Tea Party President Dory Diavelone will be available to answer questions concerning the Tea Party and providing information about the local branch. The public is invited to the meeting and Diavelone said she hopes to make Effingham County more cognizant of the local Tea Party presence and to get more people involved.

The meeting will be held be from 7-9 p.m. at Goshen Road Baptist Church, 1323 Goshen Rd. in Rincon.
