Gas prices make it too expensive to buy in Effingham
Placeholder Image

Dear Editor,

The merchants of Effingham County are always encouraging the people to shop Effingham County and we would like to be able to buy everything in our county. However, the merchants can’t expect us to pay premium prices just to shop locally. It is their responsibility to offer products at a competitive price.

When we can save 10-15 cents per gallon on gas by buying in Pooler, Port Wentworth, Statesboro and Savannah, why would we pay the extra to shop Effingham?

It’s time for the Effingham County gasoline merchants to get competitive and we will bring our business back to the county.

Let me conclude by saying that some of our businesses are very competitive and we appreciate them very much.
